I have blown a fork seal on my 2000 250EXC. I have changed seals on Japanese bikes before but not on the WP forks.
Any tips I should know before starting? I all ready have the seals. I have the factory parts picture but haven' t come across a shop manual yet for the KTM.

Thank
Ralph

Eyedoc,
When removing the oillock spring guide combination, clean the the fork cap and guide at the engagment point. The Knurled cap is good idea, but leads to contaimantion of the valving if it is not cleaned every time.

ALSO CHECK AND MAKE SURE THE OIL LOCK IS NOT TALLER THAN THE SPRING GUIDE. SOME OF THE 2000 WP FORKS WHERE SET-UP WRONG AND WOULD SHEAR THE LOWER PORTION OF THE GUIDES OFF. It is a very easy fix with a lathe. Simply turn down the od till it fits properly, I would imagine that by now your fork has already been updated, but beware..

Jer
