Hello All,

I'm back in the saddle again! Never really been there much in the first place! ;) I rode a little while in my early teen years.

I recently bought a used 2001 Kawasaki KX250. I bought it to ride trails & to start beginner motocross tracks. I need to find the geriatric division! :yikes:

I'd like to fine a good mechanic in Rockingham, NC area to rebuild the motor from top to bottom. I have no idea if any work has been done to the bike lately. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any help!

I was off for 16-17 years from age 16 to age 33 (last year).

I don't know off any mechanics there in N.C., but I sent my whole motor off for an overbore in December. It was only $20.00 or so for UPS shipping, so you could always go that route.

That's an interesting thought. Do you have a link to their website? I've heard about Eric Gorr at Forward Motion racing, but I can't seem to get in touch with him.....his website is being updated. Anyone know how to reach him?

Eric built my motor. He's out of business until fall. Sickness in the family and he's going to the UK for several months to work over there. He will be re-opening in September or October.

I can't recommend him enough, but he can't do anything for you for several months.

You could look into Wes at Boyesen or RPM Motorsports or any number of other builders.

I cna't recommend Eric more highly than Rob did. If you can wait, I would. I am already planning on sending a motor to him this coming fall.
