rm 250

got a 95 rm 250,can anyone tell me how much to adjust the powervalve,do you adjust it when the bike is running?at the minute it seems to pick up more as it hits mid range and i want the power there right from the start.also read an article on here about powervalves and it says that the rm250 93-95 powervalve is self cleaning<is this correct?

well start by useing good oil- you will not regret it
i use klotz 36-40:1 it depends on the fuel /pump or race
i have a 92 and you turn the knob to tighten it or loosen it -tighter =a later hit
looser a quicker opening-you might need to re jet it if it opens at the start,because it letting out the pressure sooner ,check the plug -it ight be a lil richer/leaner
