RM owners

Any owners of a 2001 RM 250 here? I need to get a new pipe and silencer but was wondering, if I went the used route, if any pipe made after 2001 would fit? Any body know? I'm just being a tight wad with my cash and don't want to pay over $300 for a new set. Thanks for the help.

I don't own an '01 RM, but if you just go to a site like fmf's, you'll see that they list a pipe with different model number for '01, '02, and '03. Then, '04-'07 all use the same pipe. Most likely, you'll need specifically an '01 pipe -- probably has a different diameter mounting flange where it joins the cylinder.

I had the 01 RM and I believe apb is right, the 01, 02 and 03 were of the same design and would fit but double check with the pipe manufacturer for sure. ;)

On the '01 your money will be much better spent on a port job...and it will be less than $300! I got Eric Gorr's Mo Power Everywhere porting and with the stock pipe it has more than enough power.
