RM250 cylinder jug compatability

i've heard all diffrent stories.... can anyone who has delt with these first hand tell me whats compatable? i have a 94 rm250 with a damaged jug. i am looking for a used jug but they are scarce. can i widen my search by including other years? the part numbers from microfich are confusing to me. also are the rm's compatable with the rmx's? i know the head's coolant port comes out the side instrad of the top on the rmx but is the just still compatable?

From what i read 93-94 are the only 2 years that are the same. 95 cylinders were discontinued, wtf is that?

When you say your jug is damaged, what do you mean? If there is a gouge on the cylinder wall, the plating can be striped, the gouge welded, then replated. Or you could just bore it to a 265 and replate.
