I doesn't seem logical that my shock spring is to stiff considering my weight fluctuates between 165-170lbs. I am starting to think that the guy who is helping me with setting the sag is measuring wrong. Setting up suspension is kind of new to me, I always seem to struggle with this stuff, I guess it will come with time.
This is the procedure on how we are measuring the sag. We have the bike on the stand with rear wheel off the ground, then we measure. Next, I sat down on the bike in a neutral position with my feet barely touching the floor to keep balance and we measure again. Now we take the two measurements and subtract and that is how we are getting the sag reading.
For startic sag, we pull up on the rear fender as far as it will go and measure, the we let the bike fall under it's own weight and measure, the subtract to get static sag.
Doe these procedure sound correct?
