Longtime, I have to agree, this maybe the end of the MC era. Larocco pulls a third! :) RC soldiers on from last weeks huge crash to take fourth. From RacerX it sounded like he was unsure of what his performance would be. Its good to see him bounce back.

Bubba is way too fast.....good to see our somewhat local guy make a good showing (757 Kevin Johnson) RC is done.......I honestly think he is scared. RC recovered better than I expected, but I see him being slower on the Honda. Mike R is Mr consistancy still. T.P impressed me with the ride he put on tonight. I never have disliked D.V, but I can't make myself cheer for him for some reason either, but you can't argue with results. Gonna be a good year!

What happened to Fonseca? I thought he would be up there but it looks like he didn't even ride the main. Did Thain give Gosselar another love tap? Did Stewart have his Fuscia colored gear on? What is up with Mcgrath, armpump or old age? Inquiring minds wanna know...

I would be willing to put a wager on that one. I don't think RC is "done" by any means. He put in a good ride for that bad crash the previous week ( and a fractured ? bone in his hand ). Once he wins a race, he just steam rolls it. Assuming he keeps the rest of his parts intact, it could be a 3 way battle between DV, Larocco and RC. I don't think DV is going to be consistant and will lose the point lead within 3 races. That will leave Pastrana, WIndham, Lusk, and MC to battle for the rest of the top positions.
Well, it will be interesting, no matter what. See ya at Bank One!;)

Awe, you guys got this Bubba and pink/fuscia thing all WRONG! It's AWESOME. Come on, look at this kid. He heard nothing but ribbing last week about his fuscia, so he comes out wearing it again. I personally think it looks great. This kid's not just stepping up to the pro's, he's blowin' in. He's got MORE confiidence in himself than Ricky (even) ever did. He's the new big deal. The rest of these guys just might as well pack their bags & move up to the 250's. They'll have a better chance.;)

How about Preston? Man, he's doing well. He moved up from back to 5th. I don't think he will, but I'm pulling for him to eclipse Goss & Thain, if not by virtue of his consistency.

I'm really surprised & impressed with the Aussies in the 250 class. Reed & Byrne look great. Who would have thought that? I mean, Byrne's year last year was a tragedy, & he really had no saddle time. And Reed? When did he start riding Supercross? Aren't those GP tracks a bit stretched out by comparison?:think

DV? Is he real? Seems you can never tell with that guy, but anyone passing TP in the whoops has got to have some speed. Wow, who woulda' thunk it? I don't want to see LaRocco "slide" back into routine 3rd's. And I was impressed with RC. Nice start to a comeback. He's got nads of steel, & is far from done. MC? How sad.:( I hate to see that.

oops actually I meant I think MC is done, not RC. RC is just getting going. I think MC knows he has to step it up beyond his comfort zone to ride with the new guys, and I don't think he can do it. It happens to everyone at some point, and I honestly don't think he really knows how to hang it out that far.

Bubba is my hero! If he can do for MX what Tiger has done for golf the future is bright indeed. Then I wont have to sit around the computer listening to a race at a sold out stadium that may or may not be shown on espn2 depending on softball or ice skating that may be on when the SX race is supposed to show 2 weeks later.

250 SX results

i saw the results and as i was reading down, i realized something....
i can put a picture with each one of those guys. the 250's have SOOOOOO much talent, i mean, all those guys haul ass. That may be the first year that i have seen that much talent. anyone of those guys could win....that just trips me out

Well, MC is suffering from a shoulder injury that is pumping up his whole arm. He's not making any excusses so he hasn't said nothing. But it is sad to see him losing. :(

RC alos has a wrist/hand injury from the crash but is continue'ing on with the season

Bubba is fast

I honestly thought that all the Bubba hype was just that. Sure, he could ride a motorcycle, and probably pretty fast, but.......

After watching him last night, it is scary how fast he is. And such a nice kid in the interview.

I definately see a Tiger Woods/golf analogy here, and I hope the unwashed masses take notice of Bubba/motocross.

It's great to see that two of the youngest and fastest pro's right now (Stewart and Pastrana) both have such great attitudes!! Now if they could just convince the AMA and Clear Channel to stay together :silly:

LaRocco, LaRocco, LaRacco. I find it interesting that when RC or MC falter a little that everyone then throws in David V or Travis P. into the mix. What about LaRoccco. He's a consistant top 5 finisher and without someone stepping up and winning a whole handfull of races, the rider who consitantly finishes the best should be the champ. That should be LaRocco. Granted I've been a big fan of his for a long time, buit I don't think you can count him out. :)

Gotta agree with Scar on this one. I would love to see LaRocco win it. Nobody trains or works harder. Hopefully his consistency will prevail while the kid's are getting themselves sorted out. As far as RC or MC being out of it. It's kinda early in the season to say that.

This is going to be an amazing year! I have no clue who is going to win the championship! Last year I knew RC was and the years before that I knew MC was going to win. This year is wide open. There are so many riders who can win it is going to be consistancy that wins it. I would like to see Mike L. or Travis Pastrana win it all, but I just don't have a clue who is going to win.

I fudged and twisted my work schedule so that I could make it to the race with my desert buddies, and I was well rewarded. What a great race in both classes. I am a huge LaRocco fan. As I see it, in the last two races LaRocket had only one goal, and that was to beat RC. In the Program where they have the Team Honda jump photo where RC is in the center with his arms raised triumphantly in the air. Take a look at LaRocco. LaRocco is on the far outside looking towards RC. I can't help but think that he feels slighted and is out to prove a point. I wonder if Honda is going to give LaRocco team orders not to pressure RC so hard. LaRocco was the most aggressive rider out there until he passed RC, then he just went on cruise control. I believe he is not looking at a SX title, but merely to beat RC. :think

In the 250 main it was surreal to watch MC get the lap rider flag near the finish line with about 4 laps to go in the race as DV and 199 passed him  . I honestly expected DV to do much better then he did last year after watching the 2000 season, and he is living up to expectation. The French are really good this year in both classes.

I like the attitude of the new generation of fast riders. Travis and Bubba are great role models for young riders. They are positive, polite, and well mannered. I am sick of all of those punks in our sport whose egos rule their world. In the Qualifiers did anybody watch Tyler Evans? He is from the town I live in and I could not be more disappointed in his attitude. He is a quitter. In each heat that he did, when he saw that he was out of it he would nearly stop on the track and just putt across the finish line. It is like not running it out at first when you are thrown out in baseball. It is a shame since he does have potential. Maybe he should go back to freestyle and learn how to be a quitter there :uh: . I learned a long time ago when I ran track that attitude is a huge part of winning.

First round Anaheim sold out and there were 68,000+ fans at San Diego; buy your tickets early this year if you want good seats.

I'm just happy to see that Cherry Picker Brown getting it handed to him trying to run with the big boys and am SOOO looking forward to being there to see Bubba put it on him in Vegas. Worth the price of admission alone. :p I'm assuming since he's stinkin' it up so bad in the 250's he'll join the 125 East as planned...
