"Cherry Picker...(insert name here)"

Okiewan,
Harsh words picking out ONE 125 rider to dislike as much as you apparently don't like Mike Brown. What is it about all the champions getting harsh words in here? Anyway, would you add the following to your list?

125 class "Cherry Pickers"

1. John Dowd in the 125 SX East!
2. Larry Ward in the 125 Nationals!
3. Steve Lamson in the 125 Nationals!
3. Damon Huffman in 125 Nationals!
4. Buddy Antunez 125 SX East!
5. Greg Schnell 125 SX East!
6. Casey Johnson 125 SX West!
6. Brock Sellards 125 SX West!

Or, does a "Cherry Picker" have to win before being labeled as such?

Input! Your opinion! I'm listening! :think

I don't think he's a cherry picker.. He won his championship and now he's on a 250. Seems fine to me.

What about the guys that win the 125 class their first year, and then stay to win it a few more times? That seems more like cherry picking than a veteran still chasing his first championship.

Villemun can't keep it together for an entire season. RC will when some races, MC will probably never win again. I think he's done. My money is on Larocco. I think when it's over he'll win it all.

If Bubba doesn't hurt himself while learning.....he'll rewrite the record books.

Bill,

I couldn't help but noticing the complete lack of even a mention of the words AMA at the San Diego SX.

It looks to me like they've already parted....

And Reed? When did he start riding Supercross? Aren't those GP tracks a bit stretched out by comparison?:think

Reed started racing SX in australia - just like Burner. Reed was always the fastest in the supercross here but he used to crash a lot. I assume everyone knows he came 2nd in the euro 250 mx last year in his first year there ?

What's exciting is that it seems LaRocco can run with RC this year. Actually, he was faster that RC at Anaheim I. I think this year might be his for supercross. Heck, even a few wins would be great to see. It's been a long time coming, and he deserves it.
I think DV is just a boring guy. I know he's got that unique riding style, but I can't get into him winning, I just don't care.
Now watching Travis catching him toward the end on the main in San Diego, that was cool!
MC will be back, he might not get the championship this year, but he'll win. Too much talent, speed, and experience.

I think Okie has it right, if Travis could be as focused as the Rock I think he would be hard to beat. As it is I think he has a great chance.

Pastrana's having too much fun to win a championship. I don't think he has the focus necassary to make it all season without an injury.:(

That may be true, but just maybe all that fun will keep him loose enough to make up for it. It would be nice to prove you dont have to be totally uptight to win. We always tell the kids to have fun, why not the pros too?

Because the Pro's are just that. Professionals, they perform at a higher level than the rest of us. Thier ability to do that is why they get paid the big bucks.
They can have fun but not too much.

Nobody's mentioning Roncada, probably for good reason. His performance has been ignored & gone on discretely. Check his lap times. He got caught up in the first set of whoops, & was run into Lammy from the rear. After that, he worked his way up as far as he could, but reallly didn't give it all up since he was a lap behind. His fastest lap time was faster than anyone all day.

With the bad luck he's had in these first two races, we might look to see him up front soon. Very soon. All he needs is a reasonable start, and a little better luck.

i for one am super impressed with larocco so far this year. i think as the season wears on he will continue to be right at the front. hope he can win a few. he definetly has the speed.

stewart is so good i suspect he is an alien. unbeleivable speed and confidence for such a young rider. he is not intimidated one bit.

rc is figuring out the new scoot. dont count him out.

mc is figuring out what to do with his retirement funds, not riding.

cant wait until we get some northeast supercrosses FINALLY.
