I have gained quite a bit by reading this bb. I have been riding dirt for probably 6 months. I think I handle my bike OK and have good basics and balance. I have started jumping little stuff, and keep the bike upright most of the time. (well, there were some trees that ran in front of me a couple weeks ago, but nobody saw, so that don't count) :nener:
I have a neighbor that is a great rider, but his wife is not comfortable with a girl riding with him. (Not sure how to tell her I have enough with one husband, LOL) Bummer, because he is good and I could learn alot. SO....that leaves me with hunting for someone to teach me more, more. I don't have any desire to race really, just play and enjoy. My bike is not a motocross bike, so I don't know if that would keep some would be instructors from being willing to work with me? I ride a Yamaha XT225. I have full knobbys on it though. Just keep it street legal enough so that I can get to the riding places without being bothered. I am about an hour North of Tampa, FL. Can anyone recommend someone willing to help me improve?
