Scratch in piston?

I took my pipe off on my 2002 RM250 and got a flashlight and looked in. On the center of the piston when loofing at the front I notice the small light scratch. Is this normal? I always rode 4-strokes and not used to 2-strokes. There is no power loss and the compression is good.

It's not out of the ordinary to see some very light scuffing on the piston.
However, if its been a while it would be a good time to change the piston and rings.
