I found some good info in the archives but one question remains unanswered. Can you install a new cover over the old or do you need to rip off the old?
you should probably take it off. it might be possible to put a new cover over the old one, but why not do things right and remove the old one? heres a tip for when you install the new one. heat the cover with a blow dryer. It will stretch easier.
Took off the old, stock the seat in the sun, about 120d, started by stapling the front but then worked from the rear forward, redid some of the fronts, looks and works well. The electric stapler was essential I would think, used 3/8" staples. Went for a good ride after! Thanks for the feedback/advice.
