I picked up an 86 KDX200 as a projected bike. It was a pile of pieces and needed crank bearings. I went to install the stator and it does not appear to slide onto the crank very far. When I put on the bolt it does not slide any further and the stator cover does not fit. The stator cover was missing so I had to purchase one and wondering if the cover is the wrong size or the stator is not setting correctly. Can anyone provide either a measurement of stator off case or a photo of corretly installed stator? I have look at both and they appear to be in good condition and I have spark. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
