Ok, so I was bored and was looking through the SERA book. I did some quick counting as to the bikes that were ridden in 2001.

Enduro

Top 20 riders
GasGas 8; Yam 3; Husky 3; KTM 2; Suz 2; Honda 1; and Kaw 1.

Class Winners
KTM 8; GG 4; Yam3, and Honda 2 (does not include Junior classes)

Harescramble
GG 4; KTM 4; Honda 1; Husky 1; Suz 1 (200B corrected to add KTM).

Useless trivia, but I had to do something tonight:whiner:

Mike Belcher won 200B I don't know what bike he rode. For what it's worth, see if you can factor in my 10th place Hare Scramble and 5th place Enduro placing into your calculations. I was on a KAW.

I'm not sure I've seen 8 GG bikes in 2 years out here. In fact, at the first race of the season you have to scroll down to 138 to find a GG.

There probably isn't a dominate bike in the Northern California Enduro/HS series. The top ten are mix of KTM's and Jap MX bike conversions, there are a ton of 4-strokes (predominately KTM and Yamaha, but the CRF450 bandwagon is also on full steam), but most are not in the top 25... except for the geezer classes!

East-West thing?

GasGas bikes are very common down here in the South since that's where GGNA has it's roots and the most dealers. It's not unusual to line up at a harescramble and half the bikes could be GG's.
