Simply put how do I set the idle on the Keihin PJ carb? Its on my 93 CR 250 and I can't seem to find the idle screw anywhere, the air screw no worries. So if anyone can tell me how to set the idle on my carb that would be great. Thanks
Well I tried to do that over the weekend to no avail. It was almost all the way screwd out and engine speed did not change at all. Was I supposed to have the choke pulled up and then start screwing it counter clockwise? I had it down and it didn't do anything. So still scratching my head.
Choke off - down. Try setting the air screw at 1.5 turns out as a base, first. Maybe check the pilot jet for blockages?
These carbs are renouned for being difficult to get to idle nicely. A PWK is supposedly a much better carb, but is it worth spending $$$ ? Probably not.
