Hey

I've got a 1988 CR250. My bike have red covers coiled like covers on the shocks. I was wondering if those can be removed? Are they to protect from dirt and things like that? I just don't like the look of it, but didn't want to take them off if its suppost to protect the shock.

Thanks for the help

the "gators" can be removed, but as you guessed, they are on there to protect your forks and seals from dust, dirt, rocks and other things that can score or damage the fork or seals. They are a good thing. Yes they can be removed.
