I just got new fork springs from Aftershocks in California and they told me that my 95lb. son will be okay with the stock rear spring. Does this make sense to anyone or anyone have another opinion based on experience? Any advice here will be greatly apreciated.

The rear spring should be OK for his weight. The stock fronts are super soft but I see you are about to fix that.:)

Vegas,

I'd recommend you change the rear spring while your at it. I went the BBR route with my son's TTR-125, replacing the front and rear springs. My son weighs it at ~ 70 lbs but the stock set-up was way too soft for him. My son is into jumps and motocross and the stock set-up (even with his weight) was too soft. Having installed the stiffer BBR springs he's now a happy camper.
No more bottoming out on the front or rear. Prior to the spring swap, my son had to modify his jumping technique to compensate for the soft springs.
