silly question bout oil

on my 1986 Honda cr 80 theres a screw on the bottom of the engine thats drippin what looks like engine oil (black) but i thought you didnt add oil to 2-strokes since you mix the gas. now im worried that i may be burning the engine up since im not sure how long its been dripping

Well there is actually to parts to the answer your looking for. You are right it is not engine oil, but transmission oil. What is leaking is the drain plug to remove your transmission oil. There should be a check screw on the left side of your case to make sure that the tranmission is topped off. I like to change it after about 3 rides or 5 to ten hours....
