can anyone tell me if theres a gasket between the carb holder and the cylinder where the reed valve is on the 99 220?

I don't own one, but I would say ... YES.
my 200 has one, and I can't see Kawa changing something like that for the 220.

thanks Andrew! There is a gasket between the cage and the cylinder head then the carb holder boot goes against the cage and the whole thing bolts up, its between the boot and cage where I dont see any gasket on the phish. is that what you mean?
