what is this snap ring on the disc side of my kx hub for? if the bearing is bressed in, why is this snap ring in there? i do not see why it is needed.
i broke the hub because i forgot it was there and pressed the bearing out, and the ring blew out that side of the hub, but i got it welded. my machinist will mill the bearing & seal holes back out, but i am planning on not re-installing the snap ring.
anyone ever have the same thoughts, or also didn't re-install the snap-ring?
