I should of posted this a while ago...oops.

Friday night is the start of the SCCA Sno Drift Pro Rally in the Atlanta area. First stages start Friday afternoon, go into Friday night, then start again Saturday and into the evening.

Go to www.sno-drift.org for more specific info.

Fun watching these guys! Pastrana will be here once again. (wonder when he will do a back flip in a car?)

I am sure I will get out to watch at least one stage - not sure which one at this point.

Wanted to check out a few stages this year, but too hard bringing the little one along.
Wonder if TP would sign a KTM hat?

Could someone explain where the fun factor is in just watching others? Does Wildman 1 do that?

YZMAN400, Is this ice race an invitation only deal? Where in Muskegon? Thanks, Al

Muskegon Motorcycle Club has been trying to get in one of there club races for the last few weeks but weather hasn't coorporated. I havent heard for sure but I am hoping that this weekend will be a go. They have been shooting for Sunday afternoon around 1pm at the North side of Bear Lake in North Muskegon. I think there is a boat launch on Lake Street. I am guessing this is where they are putting in. I think I was there a few years back if memory serves right.

So yes the racing is club membors only. I am not a member. But they are a pretty loose run group and the racing dont take all that long. After the racing is over the track usualy opens up to whoever wants to ride. Im just bringing my kid and his 2 bikes to fart around. Sometimes they plow a kids track as well.

There is also a group riding in Clarksville on the east side of GR Sunday. I dont have much info on that one though. That group is like pit bikes on ice. If I get more info on that one I may head there as riding a CRF100 with Big bore 450's zipping past me aint that interesting. But racing with little pit bikes sounds like a hoot!

We were supposed to see one New Years Eve along with the motorcycle jump, but the guy broke his back practicing when he overshot the foam pit and dropped on concrete. OUCH!

Soooooooooooooooo true so true there double trouble! So much to the point that I was picturing bringing my ttr225 or XR350 up there to Mikes and run all over on those icey roads kinda having my own rally race trying to get to see those guys at different spots,, sort of a I ride you drive race if you will... Isnt that the way its normally done?? I just cant picture anyone standing at one particular intersection waiting for some joker to come flying thru,, not my style either Ted.. I mean truthfully,,, I get bored to death at supercross and Nascar.... Much rather be out watching Teds "SS" (that would be SuperSucker) helmet weave in and out of the trees ANYDAY!!!

I was over there today,, the lot entrance is all plowed out and the lakes track is all set up - I would say that YZman is right on target with this.. The boat launch,, ok, race launch is right at the end of Lake St on the west side of bear lake...

FYI Bear Lake is no go. Everyone was at Freemont lake today. I think they will be back tomorrow.

At the south end of the lake there is a boat launch just to the east of Sleeper road. Thats where they are running.

Yessireeeee,, the unending supply of riders willing to follow is something that never ceases to amaze ol Woodsy.. Even when they have to be at least somewhat suspictious because they knew people who went out the week before are still missing these riders will still go.... Even on a borrowed bike, a BRAND NEW one at that, and they still go..... I totally agree that a person with a history like ol Woodsys should be subject to an occasional analization BUT,, and be careful how you answer this one BUDDIES, a person who has all their spokes tight would probably wonder what kind of scrutiny those who follow should go under....

And you know what Curtis,, other than needling ya (cause besides getting lost, needling peoples what I do) there is nothing I enjoy more than heading one direction, without a clue,, with a bunch of my good buddies and see that rag tag rotten sucker trouble maker YT1 heading the opposite direction and getting into a big debate with him about which way is THE way to go to get back without running out of gas
Wellllllll,, OK,, maybe that is seconded by the look on Marks face when you gave him his bike back empty and I had the grand pleasure of making sure he knew how much fun we had
What FANTASTIC :ride: memories....

Don - I hate to admit - but I ended up not watching any of it! My son and I are in the middle of an engine/tranny swap in our Jeep and got rather sidetracked. NO clue what the deal was with the unruly snomo riders - though my guess is they were not "local" - vast majority of the sledders up this way are from downstate (you know them flat landers south of M-55)

Woodsy - just remember, everywhere you go, there you are.

and sometimes there I have been before Mike,, of course, I usually dont realize it unless someone happens to point it out to me (right Ted, Curtis, Aaron, Larry, Don, Mike, Chris, CW, Curty, Bob, Randy, Neal, Freddy, Napper??)... Its a nasty habit that comes from years of hunting rabbits,, always running in a circle.... Heyyyy,, how bout a story???
Years ago my oldest daughter, Tami, and I are headed out west on my Royale.. We had a little over 800 miles on for the day, it was about 1 a.m. and she was literally falling asleep on the back of the bike.. I pulled into a motel, a place called Walmart, out in Nebraska somewhere.. I picked out a really nice Blue Spruce tree on the side of their parking lot to camp under, real nice pad with freshly groom grass and all,, only seconded by a few Cemetrys I have slept in.... Tami had to go potty so I held up a sleeping bag for her to "go" behind and she started crying.. She says DAD - I CANT STAY HERE!!! I said sure ya can,, look at the stars up there, their the only ones that can see you "go" and they are the same stars as the ones we always sleep under out in the prairie.. Wellllll,, we finally did get to sleep, REALLY a good nights rest too,, and woke up with a bunch of the motel (walmart) employees walking past us on the sidewalk.. Fast Forward.......
After 3 weeks of traveling the west, we are BOOKIN across Nebraska with two days before she has to go back to school in South Carolina.. Running 110 - 115 across that corn infested joint.. Got late, traffic got detoured off the highway and slowed way down for some reason,, got later, about 2 a.m. this time.. Got going around corn fields looking for a place with trees big enough to hide the tent and bike (not alot of that out there).. Got later, crossed this little wooden bridge in the middle of nowhere, made a few more Woodsy turns (not a CLUE),, see some lights in the near distant future,, head that way out of curiosity,, turn a corner and I will be dog gone,,, HEY T.C. (thats what I call my daughter) - look - its the SAME WALMART MOTEL WE STAYED AT WEEKS AGO - yep,, and that same little tree was just as comfy as before too hahahahah,, only this time she laughed herself to sleep instead of crying....
Its the little things that make life worth living... :boss:

If you do, he can award you proof too. That's if he can remember. Like the riders meeting when he said one direction and pointed in another. It's called a challenge. Life just hasn't been the same.

Oh boy, i remember the first time I met Woodsy. 2big and I sitting along the Mio/Hunt Creek loop, by Mt. Tom Road. I hear a big bore 2 stroke in the distance. Soon I see a big green thing pull up towards us, that never I mean NEVER let its front wheel touch the ground. He pulls up - we chat a second, I immediately knew it was the infamous Woodsy! Yep...my life has not been the same since. ;^)

Thanks alot you guys,,, as if it aint hard enough for me to find people to ride with,, then they come on here and read stuff like this.... Heyyyy,, I just got in from getting lost,,,,, I mean disorientid,, on my snowmobile and thought I was going to have to dip into the ol burnt squirrel supply in the back of the sled.. I am about to put up a new thread written to YT1 but you all are invited to read it if you want...
Also,,, if memory serves me right Mike,, you and Neal taught me somethings at that first encounter that I never will forget either.... That being, that rim locks are no longer an essential item for dirtbiking, as long as there is a roll of binder twine - duc tape or a piece of wire laying around that you can rap around the tire your all set..
You know what REALLY bugs me about that who encounter??? That LARRY had a crank problem with his KTM (you guys here that - I said KTM) and I didnt get to follow you and Neal home for that Hamburger you offered............. In my case, THAT is a big issue because I am solely responsible for that old saying that goes "if you see a lost dog and you feed him he will NEVER go away".. I didnt talk to Larry for three days after he did that, then I figured out that it was his bike brand that did it not Larry - KTM - Kancel Those Meals hahahha
