I was watching the news this morning and heard of a local school that is banning snowmen. I thought "Oh, they probably did that to discourage snowball fights (a great American passtime BTW), which makes some amount of sense." WRONG! The principle made the decision to ban snowmen on school grounds because she was told that recent pop culture has made "snowman" synonymous with "drug dealer" and snow is a reference to cocaine! I'm surprised she didn't make a rule that school is cancelled on snow days because of all the "snow/cocaine" laying around on campus. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! The principle looked like she was about a day older than dirt, so clearly she is a bit old fashioned.

Pretty soon these kids are going to get smart and get school books banned by referencing them to porn or something. I can see it now, "Did you hear that these wacky kids are refering to Playboy and Hustler magazines as School Books?! As of this minute school books are banned on campus!!!"

When are people going to realize that authority figures are completely losing there mind and trying to control every bit of a child's exposure to the real world is futile?

Hah that gave me a good laugh. Seriously though people need to know where the line is, when it is to be reached, and when they have gone over it.

I think somebody's been drinking too much (or maybe not enough) snow cold beer.

Whoa? me :p
I was just "fishin'" to see if I'd get any bites. Besides, I was being facetious; everybody knows it's not possible to drink TOO much snow cold beer. It is possible, however, to have too much to do the next day! :yeehaw:

Just so ya know the school in question is not a public school, it is a Catholic school (not elected officials and not my beloved APS :yikes: ) also the shirts she is worried about (that have the specific drug connotation) are not even abailable here but you can get them "on the internet" to quote our intrepid news reporter :rotfl: back to your scb's

:yikes:

People need to lean that some times, things are just what they seem to be. :| Gotta love the grade school teacher mentality of lets punish everyone instead of the one thats guilty. I suppose that next they will take their sleds away because they represent SPEED!

BTW I have no problem with teachers... so keep your comments to yourself.
