I am not a fanatical RC fan, but I'll guarantee you one thing: he is not afraid of MC. Coming off the kind of year RC had, his confidence is mile-high. I'd like to see MC come back for one more title, but I can't deny Ricky's heart and his dedication. He's no slacker, and he's not afraid of a motocross rider in the world. Why should he be?
I'm not going to race the US Open for the reason being it's kind of a crapshoot that race. If you don't get a good start it's very difficult to pass and in my first race at Honda I want to be ready to go. I think in the back of my mind I can win on my bike right now, if we had a race I can win but I just want a little more time on it. I worked hard this year and I had a good year and there is nothing left for me to prove by racing at the US Open and I wouldn't want something to go wrong and have them say "Oh look he made the wrong decision." I'm just going to put all my eggs in one basket and I'm going to be ready for the first Supercross.
I think he's being realistic ... besides, he's gonna have to face off against McGrath anyway during the entire SX season. So if he is "hiding", as some may suggest, what would be the point ?
What ? Like he needs the money anyway ? He'll have to prove himself soon enough - why not get it off to the right kind of start ?
aw now, there's a difference between fear and just not enjoying something.
His heart isn't in it. Any type of riding is tough especially if you're not really psyched about it.
I just figured he would want to defend his title, but if that inst important, then maybe he shouldnt defend the sx title either !! HA ! so there MX547 HEHEHE !!! Take it easy you H@#da lover !!!! BRRRRRRUUUUUUPP !!!
I don't know if tx246 is a reliable source.:D
I hope he does, it would be good to see a battle for nothing but the sake of it. No points, no championship, just "bar to bar racing"
