I live in utah and the state requires spark arrestors. I am not familliar with the ins and outs of bikes but is the stock muffler an arrestor? As I look online at new pipes they all say spark arrestor on them. How do I do this without replacing my entire pipe. My bike is a 95 MXC KTM 440. :bang:

If the silencer is an approved spark arrestor it will say so, stamped into the metal. If it doesn't say it is approved then it isn't.

At worst you will need to replace just the silencer. The pipe should be fine. You can also buy spark arrestors that slip onto the end of your existing silencer. Attached is an example.
