I don't think this is a tech question, more a general one, hence the
choice of forum - feel free to move it to beginners or wherever it
suits best :)

I've got a SSD with bolt-on tower - the tower is not the problem,
it's the SSD itself - I've now lost two bolts, both of which were
loctited in, checked regularly. Over the course of the day yesterday,
one of the bolts worked itself loose (it was checked in the morning
before the guys rode my bike). Does anyone know any way of ensuring I
don't lose the damper - i.e. different bolt to hold it onto the
tower, or something to stop the bolts rattling loose?
Thanks in advance, and hope that's enough info.

Gday Michelle (where you been all this time? :))

Sorry I can't help, and I thought I'd broken or messed up just about everything possible on mine. The bolts have never some loose though, and mine aren't loctited.

If you are really woried about it falling off, on mine (weled tower) the hole in the arm is big enough I could put a long zip thru it and around the handlebars...

Bud, good idea about the zip tie - will do that when it goes back on
:) I'm glad Craig had the Bondhus tool in his rehydration system -
usually he carries no tools. When it came loose with me riding it, it
rattled & I wondered what the heck the marbles sound was lol - have
to get a heap of replacement bolts tomorrow.
As for me, I'm a lurker these days, it takes me about 5 minutes to
post anything (and that's with me cutting & pasting from the email
program). Just too frustrating to post much, but I'm still around,
but not as often as I used to be.
