Im new to the forum but not to bikes, mainly street as of the last 15 years, and dirt before that. I picked up a used but in excellent condition 2001 KX250. I rode last weekend in some knarly tight trails that kicked my butt. I was wishing for a 4 stroke. Since I love the 2 stroke power band and pick up on the open stuff, I ended up picking up a Steahly 11 oz flywheel weight. I was a bit nervous about install, but with the great instructions it went on without a hitch. Took it out tonight and damn what a difference. I could immediately tell the bike didnt need the higher rev's with the clutch out in first gear. I tried to bog it a bit, and it didnt ping or act like it was gonna stall on me. It was so much easier to ride at lower speed without a noticeable difference when I wound it up. Stalling will be less and hopefully I can keep off the clutch a bit more. For anyone out there that rides the trails and love the 2 smoke, the Steahly products are more then worth the $100 bones.
