steering stabilizer for 93-94 KDX

Ok friends after 24 years of riding I have decided to take the plunge and buy a steering stabilizer(dampener).I have been unable to find anyone that makes a mount for the 93-94 kdx's with the upside down forks, most websites only list for the 95-03's same as the parts books,no big deal if I can't buy the mount I will machine my own.Does anyone know of a mount from another model that may fit?
Is there any pros or cons to having a stabilizer that dampens both ways,some dampen on only one circuit,out I think and some dampen on the return circuit.I cannot find a shop in my area that has any in stock so I will have to order one in, the Ohlins(Scott) has a distibuter here in Canada so this maybe the most economical way to go,buying from the States unfortunately almost doubles the price of parts.

I had a Scotts on my 94. They make both bolt-on and weld-on mounts for the 93-94.

The WER damper mounts on the front fender, so you dont have to worry about changing bar mounts. I had the '94 KDX and that was one of the thing I disliked about it, the non adjustable top clamp.
