Irvine, Calif. (August 19, 2005) – Team Kawasaki’s James Stewart plans to return to the AMA Motocross Championship series this weekend at Broome-Tioga Motocross Park in Binghamton, NY. Stewart, who initially planned to return at the last event in Millville, Minn., crashed during practice before the event and sustained a severe hematoma to his lower right hip.

It was determined by Team Kawasaki and his physician that he should refrain from riding to allow ample time for the injury to heal and as a result Stewart missed the event. After a couple days of rest and additional practice this week, Stewart is ready to return to competition.

That is such good news.
After actually watching the season (thanks torrent guys) Bubba is awesome.
He shouldn't have given up his position to Windham. Windham should have backed down as Bubba was about ½ a bike length ahead going into the turn. Windham hit Bubba and fell down.
And his 2 stroke "appears" just as powerful as the massive 4 strokes.

Go Bubba, as long as your on a 2 stroke I’m with ya man….

i'd guess he's had plenty of time to get his priorities in order. had plenty of pep talks by the his family, friends, coaches, not to mention the people who sign his checks probably gave him a seminar on public relations...etc, he will finish the season like a champ.

that being said, if he doesnt i will not hesitate to bag on him :boss:

Enjoy this season because if that's the criteria you'll need to get off the bandwagon soon.

I'd like to see R.C. get enough points to have it sewn up and then come out on a 250 and still put a whoopin to everyone. :aj:

good thing "bubba back", so that he could crashout hard in the second moto and finish 3 laps....This has gotta be a tough season for him. RC commented that it has gotta be tough on him hitting the mat as often as he has this season. Stating that he needs to have more patience, which will come. Whoever thought that he would be in 10th position with 2 nationals left to go.

I loved Rc's comment about the starts, was something like "Bubba got the starts, I guess that 2 stroke is fast enough after all"
And that's exactly why RC is on one. Right?

Everybody loves to forget that RC said K-Dub could hang with him cause he (RC) was on the 250 and having to work too hard. But hey, whatever works for your argument.

Oohhh.. me, me!

I was there today.... and he crashed again second moto after getting the holeshot with Carmichael chasing him down for a few laps. When he got up and got goin, he was almost a lap down on RC (mabye it was even two laps, but Carmichael was leading the race and behind James again, lol). He did a lap with no back fender and pulled off the track. When I seen he got the holeshot with RC right behind him, I knew it would only be a few laps till James would be crashing and pulling off the track. Who would of guessed? :|

I don't recall RC ever saying that. But it would be understandable considering he was on a CR250. :p IMHO I don't think there can be any doubt, considering RC's complete dominance, that if he were on an RM250 the results would be the same. The gaps might be a little tighter, but the results wouldn't change(unless he wrecked, or was taken out, a WHOLE lot more on the 250). I believe the four-strokes do have an advantage outdoors(or everyone wouldn't be riding them), but I don't think they're worth two or more seconds a lap.

You mean like how many times he fell over in SX?

I'm sure if RC dropped a massive load on the podium it would be gold, but the question raised is about 2 vs 4 ... if RC was comfortable on the 2, he'd be riding one. As it is, Stewart is all that's left and it IS a disadvantage. Does that mean he wins on the 4? No. Does it mean he wouldn't have to kill himself to get thru a moto at speed? Probably. Considering RC said that himself (and he poops gold remember?)... I DO recall him saying it, thus the paraphrase.

Until RC retires there will remain millions on that double-decker bandwagon; no one will the beat the guy. Finally, all those that know ZERO about the sport can testify with great confidence "I know who the best is".

That in itself doesn't mean everyone else sucks, although you'd never know it by reading the web.

jeeze, all I was saying is that I found it funny that RC said something about bubbas 4 stroke comments. I also liked his "apology" for boring races.

Yeah. Basically. By the way, he STILL won the championship and he's much better outdoors.

I never said RC "poops gold", in fact I try not to discuss poop at all. It's just not polite in mixed company. I know that you have some real issues with RC, and all of his fans. Let's face it, most of us are probably kind of tired of watching the same guy stomp everybody every week. But I don't hold it against RC, he obviously has the talent and puts in the work to keep it that way. And I don't think that you should try to attack or belittle everyone who simply states the obvious. RC is STILL dominant. Everyone was looking forward to some real competition this year, myself included, but it just never materialized. JBS was viewed by many as the second coming, he isn't. At least not yet. As for the RC quote I'll just take your word for it and leave it at that.

I'm not on anyone's bandwagon. The fact is that RC IS dominating again this year. Just like he has since he turned pro(outdoors). Since I know zero about the sport I won't comment on who's the greatest. Just like I didn't comment on it in my previous post, or ever for that matter. To be honest, I've read this part of your post 5 times and still don't know what any of it has to do with my post. I must assume it was directed at me since I'm the only one quoted. If not I apologize.

I never said anyone sucks. Period. Also, you sure seem to have a pretty low opinion of the web. Especially for someone who runs a website.

I replied to your statement, which I quoted in the first sentence of my post. Paragraphs indicate movement to another thought. Sorry, my post wasn't all about you :moon: , just general babble.

I won't bother with all of it, but will comment on the last statement...

Yeah, the web, ie; MX forums (including my own) have bothered me of late... I've never seen the hard-core, relentless bashing of someone, anyone, in our sport that I've seen directed at Stewart. I don't think anyone deserves the heat he's taken and the joy in which many seem to get from it rubs my fur backwards.

Problem with RC? Sorry, got nothing against him, his accomplishments or anything else for that matter. He does however make the sport boring.

It's all about how Stewart has presented himself...The same thing happened to Alessi...Isn't right to be so hard on the boys but they haven't made it easy for themselves.

Pastrana has had it pretty hard...Had TP presented himself like Stewart and Alessi
it would be just as bad...Even without the attitude TP got it pretty bad...

SX season is coming up and Stewart can turn it around...

I can't fault RC for being dominant, no matter how boring the race is.

Is it just me or does it seem like RC has slowed up some in the last few races, perhaps playing to the audience. I don't really think he would, but there has been alot of talk on the podium lately about making the races better for the spectators. It just seems RC is not checking out as quickly at the beginning of the moto.

Sorry about the hijack. Too bad about JBS. I would really like to see him on 4t, but I'm afraid his confidence is low and injuries preclude him from performing to his potential. Maybe he will be 100% in supercross.

Bubba is a great rider. Right now, he sucks as a racer. I'd like the kid to do better, but he needs to get his head together. Outdoor racing is a lot harder (on the mind and body) than SX. Maybe next season.

A few years ago, I was not much of an RC fan. But I have to say, the guy has a lot of class and has come a long way. He is the GOAT. And he has MANY years left in him.
