Sticky Kickstarter

Now heres my problem:

Before I put on the engine cover, I checked the kickstarter, it was working fine. After I put thecover on, the kick starter moves stiff and the return spring is not bringing the kick lever back up to the top. Like it's "rubbing" on something.

Has this happened to anyone?

Pull the cover back off and see what is wrong. Probably a misalignment.

Problem Solved. The bushing inside of the kickstarter spring had dislodged and was not seated all the way in causing the spring to rub against the casing.
