Ok i have a kx 125 1989!

Oviously any bike this age needs tlc frequently!

I am thinkin of stripping it to the rolling chassis give it a check over , once over clean etc etc, check for any worn or broken parts...

What are things to watch out for when stripping a bike down, putting it together....

what jobs can i do while its apart!?

What jobs (maybe a bit of cash involved!) to make it look a more respectable?
And anything else you can think suggest etc, appreciated,
Cheers Grant

I did that to my YZ250 last year when I had the frame powder coated. When it was all apart I cleaned and inspected everything, serviced the swingarm pivot, serviced the steering bearings, replaced or repaired broken parts and painted misc parts and pieces. When you tear it down mark all the parts as to where they all go and you can also take pictures as you go. Just take your time and you should have no real problems. Oh yeah get your hands on a ood manual.

If you have enough money to get your frame and subframe powedercoated, do it, it lasts and keeps looking great.
