Ok, browsed a couple SuperMoto sites/message boards and found this...
The Gateway SuperMoto series is having a race at I-70 on Sunday, July 24th. there's some information on the I-70 site about it.
I'm trying to get ahold of the people that run I-70 for some more info and such. they're site says they are having a track day for the SM course sometime before the race, might want to get in on that.
If the race is successful, they're planning to have a super moto race there once a month in '06.
Anyone interested in this?
I'm going to go get some dirt track tires for my 21/18" wheels.
Tires should be around $100 so not too bad, especially if they start having monthly races next season.
Don't have to do too much to your bike other than tires,
Equipment Standards
1 -- All machines must have operating front and rear brakes.
2 -- Headlight, taillight and turn signals must be removed or have their lens covered with tape.
3 -- Center and side stands must be removed.
4 -- All engine, transmission and final-drive-unit oil drain plugs
must be safety wired or have a glob of silicone smeared upon the bolt head and adjoining surface.
5 -- Cooling system must not contain anti-freeze. Tip: Use distilled water with WaterWetter added.
6 -- Carburetor vent tubes must be routed into a catch bottle of at least 6 oz. capacity.
so take off that kick stand, throw on some semi street tires, glob some silicone on the drain bolts, throw some distilled water in the radiator (which cools better than anti-freeze by the way) and rig up a catch tank out of a small sunny D bottle and your set!

Time: Most likely practice will start around 9am and the racing will be finished around 3:30pm (this is based on the races they hold in Springfield)
Race Fees: Less than $50
Practice Day: Yes, the date has not yet been finalized though. There may also be a non-series warm-up race.
This will be really cool i think. I had always wanted to try supermoto racing, but never wanted to drive to iowa, illinois, wisconsin, etc... to do it. This will be only 45minutes from my house.
I-70 Speedway is about 10 minutes from Odessa, MO(suberb just west of K.C.) on the north side of I-70
