Thanks for the help in my other thread.

What I would like to know is a good place to start with setting up the suspension. I don't have an owners manual coming with the bike (1997 KDX 220) so I'm not sure the stock settings for the bike.

I'm 5'10" 200 LBS. I ride woods, trails and powerlines. so tight stuff to rutted trails. I'm not too aggressive anymore, but getting there. I also will in a field, run flat out.

Now I KNOW I will need to mess with the settings from stock or whatever is suggested. I just want some advice as to where to start. I want to ride and not have to screw around for a few hours just to get to ride...

Thanks in advance!!!

Go to frpoffroad.com, there is a guide there. I do 8 clicks out on both shock adjusters and 8 out on forks, but my forks are modified. Good luck!

I have a '97 200 and am right at your weight (200lbs). I use a 5.1 shock spring, 13c,12r

Forks have .44 springs, 6c, 100mm oil level.
This might help point you in the direction you want. Good luck.

So turn the screws all the way clockwise then out to the above settings, correct?

Thanks!
