little zook has a 2001 jr 50 with about 5 hrs on it. this weekend he was going to go riding but the auto clutch doesnt seem to be working. when it is put in gear it automatically jumps then it stalls. when i hold the wheel off the ground it spins. the idle is at the proper rpm, the engine runs perfectly. the gear box oil is at the proper level. does anyone know if there is a clutch adjustment on this bike , or could it be a faulty part?

thanks

Sounds like one of the springs on the clutch came off letting it engage at idle. not an adjustment that I know of.

There is an adjuster, but it's not going to help you. I suspect that one of the springs is broken or has popped off as Jasle said. You'll have to remove the cover and have a look.
