In my case, the only simple way to solve the problem was reformat.  It had attacked my virus software, which is AVG.  The crazy part is AVG is supposed to be one of the best, but Warren said it takes three or four days to make a flu shot that works consistently while the virus guys are now starting to change their virus signatures multiple times a day.
