Didn't Texas just approve TPWD being able to develop lands for OHV use, with you having to buy a little sticker or something?

Right, but I think the issue here is they're trying to approve the acquisition of an area to ride.

Here's some excellent information I found, this is current as of Nov. 7, 2005. I'm not sure if there is any more recent information. If so, someone chime in:

Approval of concept is not the same as actually spending the money. There is a 3,000 + acre ranch caught in the approval process at the moment. The TMTC will manage the facility much like they do Barnwell Mountain.

This is as close as we have gotten since the Barwell facility was purchased. The hurdles in the process are usually too tall for a prospective seller to wade through.
