Thanks for the info. I live near the canadian river and ride there some but not alot I have to admit that I think the sand and mud drags that are held there once a year is a bit much. They mark off an area in the river itself and drag race in the water. There is several thousand people show up with little organization and a lot of unregulated alcohol flowing with a lot of teenagers makeing true ORV riders looking like we are unconcearned about the river.

This bill is scheduled for a final vote in the senate Tuesday the 22nd. There has been a clause added that excludes the Canadian River from this legislation. This is good news for offroaders in the Panhandle area, but is bad news for those down state because it could dilute the opposition. If you are interested in keeping these areas open please contact your TX legislators soon.
