this is a riding area operated by the city of Stillwater and leased to the Stillwater trailriders (local riding club). It is approx. 500 acres with a mx track (non-prepped), and around 25 miles of wooded trails. a membership is 25.00/yr with family members under 16 included and a discount for family members over 16.
You fill out a membership form and send it and your check, they send you stickers and a letter updating the lock combination.
there are two cross-countries and one enduro held per year.
If you need to get a form, let me know.

Thank you OKKX'er. Yes I would like the information on a form. But is it possible to just ride one day to check it out. Tim

Cool. Sounds like a great place. I'm in Amarillo but if I just rode 2-3 times a year it would be worth the $25. Tim

timw51, if you want to come up this way, just let me know.   We(the Heartland Spodes) can help you out with accomodations if need be.  Watch for a scheduled ride and join us.  It will be worth the trip.

Thanks BSWIFT, you guys are great. I think we'll watch the weather and trailryder42 and I will load up and take a couple of days and do Draper and the 500. Any of you guys that have not done the Canadian River just north of Amarillo ned to come try it. I rank the terrain as much fun as Makenzie only sandier and a little busy on the weekends. Tim

Tim, at the 500 we have winding trails like at macenzie, but the berms are 2-3 feet high and closer together . Enjoyed riding with you last weekend.

Ditto, it was a good ride. Say is Cooperland in the same general area? Tim

Where I live, you will pay 20-25 for 1 day of riding, and 250-500 for an anuall. So 25 for an anuall pass shouldnt be questioned

Goodgrief! 20 to 25 for a day of riding. I hope you get your moneys worth. I guess we are very fortunate in the southwest. Still lots of free and cheap places to ride. Colorado costs $15 a year for a permit and you have thousands of miles of trails to choose from. New Mexico is absolutley free. Hope you have or will get a chance to ride em. Tim

Well, here in MI we pay $16.25 a year for a sticker to ride all established ORV trails and we have 1000's of miles of trails to ride. So we got it pretty good. BUT - it's friggin' snowing right now so you southern guys are at least riding. BTW-the 500 is fun-rode there 3 times at DW 02 and will return for more in DW 03. My goal then is to ride the 80 - I missed that at DW 02.

I live in Stillwater and would be more than happy to send a form to anyone interested. Just PM me your address. I would also be more than happy to serve as a trail guide when you make it up.

Don, It's rained here all day so I imagine Cooperland is out. It might be a good Saturday for Redbank51. I would still like to do the Poker Run on Sunday but have no idea how Draper holds up to rain. I think I heard that it usually recovers quickly. I am open to suggestion.
