The cost of Dual Sporting...

I have an xr650r and want to convert it to a dual sport. I really like the baja designs kit, which is around 400 bucks I think, but i found out that it doesn't come with everything needed to rode ride. Approx. how much extra is it gonna cost to make it street legal, figuring I would need all the signals and everything?

Whether you go with the electrix (which I like better) or the baja designs you will need a mirror, which is about 15-20 bucks at most places. You will need DOT approved tires if you don't have some. The dunlop d606's are nice and can be found for under 60 a piece. Might be other things, but not really that much. I can't think tonight.

You should really look into rewinding yours or getting a high output stator also. Depending on your skill level anywhere from $10-$150.00
