Non-ethanol gas? What is that? You can get mtbe out of the ground? Lucky! I have been eagerly awaiting ours to drop below 2 dollars for unleaded regular, with alcohol of course! I WILL take a picture, now getting it off my phone,,, got to get to a nextel dealer, today! Real tempted to go to Grant Park tonight for the carnage called the presidential acceptance, crazy days ahead? Nothing like sitting up in the front row, but, it kills my neck,,
Lou...where are you ?? :pissed: I am waiting patiently while gas is still at 3.40 now...coming down a bit. Possibly by january It will be 3.30! So would taking you to a mexican restraunt help??Wait....that means I would be smellin ya all the way..scrub that idea!:moon: Can I ride your bike instead?
Well Lou, what are you to do? Better than no love! And, gas is still falling? Along with the auto makers, aig again, no wait, we will bail them out. We need a bail out for Lou some fuel to Washington, STAT! Now this rumor about being down wind from you? A little race gas behind the ear usually will suffice!
What's wrong with Walla Walla? (I just alliterated!)
you talkin' diesel prices, or gasoline, Ms. Motonut? Up here in the wilds of North Idaho we've got gas down 'round 2.20, and it seems to drop a penny a day. If you go to the reservation it gets even cheaper.
Pred that is for unleaded last I checked...checked this am on the way to the store..2.35 WOW!! Dropped a bit finally! ,deisel is at 3.50 right now...cost to make a trip to ride in the dirt priceless...Walla Walla has always been high due to all the tourism now and the wino's that visit from california and seattle...wish we could use grapes to fill the tanks....
1.69 in northwest Indiana, for what ever regular 87 is? About what it was when this BS started? Now the unemployment is way up, and businesses are going down, uh oh! Every president leaves office with a bunch of last minute orders, that would not be done if he was up for re-election! Maybe Detroit will not be a memory,,,
Lou, its all local taxes, not distance. I live 30 minutes from the Whiting BP refinery, Chicago is closer, they are adjacent? And they are a lot more per gallon!
How about throwing this idea out there?
We had a housing/lending/borrowing market that was in fantasy land. The whole no money down, lend to those that can't truly afford it, and build build build. It was bound to not last, even though we all wanted it to. Then it was through the roof fuel/oil prices that broke that camels back with mom and dad hownowner paying 2-3 times more than their budget was use to. Oil prices were all the talk and irritation just a little while ago, with big talk of alternate fuel sources, more drilling here in the U.S., etc. Our presidential candidates were talking about it big time. Now I think we will slowly forget (remember 9/11?). With the slow (understatement) economy, big company buyouts being the big focus, let's not forget the oil issues. All the MidEast has to do is raise oil through the roof again once we get comfortable (time), and we're right back in the same boat. It is true that those people do truly hate us. I have read some of the Curran and not only do they believe we deserve death, but TORTURE and death. Making us weak would be the first step.
Our family is going to buck that system and continue to plan our trips cost effectively. I'll leave my diesel work truck hooked up to the work trailer and use it only for work.
Long live the 4 cylinder!
my dad is a chemical engineer for marathon oil company....
he says the prices are going to be like this for quite some time, judging from the price forcasts.
china and india will pay anything for oil/gas. the electrical grid in that area is so unreliable that most factories run off enormous fuel oil or diesel generators. in order to get some of that fuel, we have to pay the same prices as they do.
fortuninatly. the demand from that region of the world has slackened enormously, as they too have hit a recession. when they stop paying rediculous prices, so do we.
Seemingly some time ago,,,,, the warnings that our gas has ethanol in it have been removed? For an even stranger reason, E85 is 30 cents more than regular 87???? And it was 1.66 a gallon! I must assume that the value of the dollar has risen, substantially? Scrap metal is down to 30 dollars a ton, at its height it was round 285 dollars a ton! Strangely enough, copper and aluminum are no longer being frequently stolen, lazy thieves?
