Funny story this year at Millville. My first time ever with the vest on Sunday, I'm feeling a little out of place with all the other big name photogs buzzing around and figured I'd pretty much mind my own business and stay out of everyones way. Wander off to a remote corner and think hey this will be a cool shot and settle into the turn look around a bit, squat down put the camera up to the eye to check my new shot angle and all I see is Cudby looking back at me from across the track with this "I can't believe you just walked into my shot look" on his face. Needless to say I waved and skedaddled out of there pretty fast. Standing by the podium at the end of the first moto and he comes over and introduces himself and apologizes for running me off, he says all I needed was for you to move to the left a foot or so.

They all chimp. I talked to Cudby a few times this year and he seems like a really nice guy. I got to meet a lot of really good people that I look up to and I can actually say all of the regulars (with the exception of 1) were very willing to chat and give pointers to the new guys with no big league experience. All in all, being down there in the mix is one of the coolest things I have ever done.

The only guys I talked to at any length at Millville were Bruhn and Stone. Both seemed like decent guys to me. I'd be curious to know who the 1 was and I have my guesses but I'll keep that to e-mail for ya Emile.

Carl is the coolest!!! I met him when he was doing WML stuff (back in '00 maybe?) before he really started doing the whole pro deal. Cool dude for sure, and his Bubba scrub pic at Red Bud on the finish line is my favorite!

Same with Bruhn, met him at LL's in '99 or '00 when he was real into the women's class too... he even got a few WML & I think Mini O's pics from me before he went big time, and I think before he went digital LOL!
