Thor Force Knee/Shin Guards

Anyone have the Thor Force knee/shin guards? I purchased a pair, but one problem. The shin guard portion will not fit in my boots. Seems like they may be made for riders who are considerably taller than 5'6". Anyone have the same problem or have any ideas concerning my dilemma?
