Another new feature.

In your control panel, under "Options", you can chose to collapse the threads that you have already read... new posts will show up "full size", all the others will be one line, showing the author's name, a post subject (if any) and the date and time they posted.

The point?

Makes for less scrolling. you'll notice a + or - next to the author's name... you can click that to expand or contract individual posts. Also, at the top of each thread you can "expand all" or "contract" all.

Note: unless you chose this option in your control panel, expanding and contracting will not stick... meaning you contract them all, but when you go back to the post, it won't remember that you did it. :think

Okie, you need to get out more ......................... and ride a little :p

BTW, very  new feature.

Maybe you need to move to Alaska so that you can spend more time perfecting DRN

I wondered what the little "-" was. Now I know.

On a similar subject, I take advantage of the forum letting me know which threads I have read since last logging on. The problem is that sometimes it takes me so long to read everything that the cookies (or something) refreshes and threads that I still haven't read show that I've read them.

Is there some way to reset it so it will show the threads and posts created after a certain point in time? That way, if I can't read everything, I can come back later and have everything still look like a new post.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Talk about weird things. I just went into the Places to Ride forum and it showed a huge list of members that were in there, more than were even logged on  I got out and went back in and all was normal. I thought it had just become the most popular place on the web ;)

I like it: if you compress them all as you go, you've got a list of responders above to pick and chose from in a very compact space, making it much easier to go back. (Did that make sense?)

noticed another something interesting though, on the thread titles (in the thread listings) that have more than one page, even if you click on page two or three or whatnot it takes you to the first page of the thread.

Okie, a found a possible bug in the "spuish". I selected the "squish all threads" after reading. Some of the older threads will not allow me to "expand" the posts without going back to the cp and changing the selection. This happened in the Brand specific forums and DRN tested.

PS. It has happened in this forum now.:silly:

I logged out and back in, no dice. Every post is squished.

Follow up. I changed the CP option, updated, changed the CP option back and the "squish" function is working again.:ugg:
