The OEM throttle housing is plastic, so it is fragile in a crash unless you use handgaurds, but it requires very little maintenance. You can buy aftermarket aluminum tubes, and they are much more durable, but require more frequent cleaning and luibricating to keep them working smoothly, and they are expensive. The stock one works fine for me.
i was actually looking for info on the complete twist throttle assembly. a freind gave me a magura and ill give it a try. the only visible differences are that the part that should be threaded for the kdx adjuster is a slip fit. im going to drill and tap the magura and give it a try. ill post the results after its done. later....dave.
