1) your physical size (both height and weight are important) 5'8" ~175lbs 2) How physical / aggressive are you ? 7/10 3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ????? Mostly desert and track (AZ resident) 4) Do you have any riding experience? KX125 rider from age 8-17 (15 years ago) 5) Do you think you will race ? Not likely, but you never know.... 6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work? Yes, plan to do everything I can myself. 7) Do YOU have a preference to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)? Prefer KX and was leaning 2 stoke unless someone can give me a good reason to think otherwise.... 8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry? Multiple dealers of every brand close... 9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike? Would like to keep it under 2K (need another 1K in gear too.. ) 10) Do you live in California? No - AZ 11) Your age? 32 12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion As I mentioned, I used to ride a KX125 quite a few years ago. Back then I was pretty small. I don't remember exact height, but weight was no more than 115lbs. I would assume I am ready for a 250 now (make take some time to get used to). Also, what is all the hype around the 4 strokes? My buddy is wanting to trade in/up his 250 for a 450, but I just don't get it.. Just looking for some input. Thanks,
