As I mentioned, I used to ride a KX125 quite a few years ago. Back then I was pretty small. I don't remember exact height, but weight was no more than 115lbs. I would assume I am ready for a 250 now (make take some time to get used to). Also, what is all the hype around the 4 strokes? My buddy is wanting to trade in/up his 250 for a 450, but I just don't get it.. Just looking for some input.

Thanks,

You will be blown away by how well a '05 and up YZ125 pulls, even down low, once you get it jetted right. I weigh 230 lbs., and my '06 YZ125 has all the power I need. I am no faster on my 250, only lazier, and sometimes even slower.

I only have a 250 because of my desire to race in 24 hour races. If someone made a good lighting stator for the newer YZ125's, that is all I'd own.
