Hello again. I am getting my 01 YZ 250 ready for this weekends campout. I was planning on getting a new rear tire from a place in Columbus, OH, a Dunlop D756. I have had two of them and like them pretty much. Today, I found a place nearby and had them put on a Maxxis tire(this saved allot of time for me). They didn't carry Dunlop. Both the Dunlop and the Maxxis are 110/90/19, BUT ... the Maxxis just looks skinnier than the Dunlop.

I don't think it's THAT much skinnier, but it is noticable. I heard the the Maxxis tread grabs extremely well, so I decided to give them a try.

My question is, will I suffer while riding in the woods with a slightly skinnier tire? Or should I have a 120/90/19 put on?

Anyone have any words of wisdom they can share?

Thanks!

Jeff

It may just be an optical illusion. You could measure the tires to see if there really is a difference. In any case, I don't think you'll have a problem.
