does anybody have any experience with the little ripper?
I am thinking about picking one up for a second bike and I would like some input! we will assume right away that there is almost no torque but it is all about momentum, right?
my Q's are about reliability, fuel range, suspension(paioli ?)top speed? parts? or just a riding impression?

Very hard hitting, absolutely no lowend what so ever. But keep them on the pipe and boy do they fly the really do keep up well and i have a tm250e. Probably the most reliable bike i have ever owned, thats including my honda!

Friend of mine did the ISDE for Ireland on one last year and absolutely loved it. I'm not sure of anything specific I'm afraid, but he was very impressed.
TMs are very popular over here for some reason, I did a 6 hour harescramble a few months back where almost 50% of the bikes were various TMs... I'd love to try an TM125MX myself but the high initial price and lousy second price puts me off.

I rode a '03 125e that was converted to mx trim (Differences between the two are lights and the flywheel) they are darn quick and handle awesome. The one I rode also had Ohlins forks and I loved them. The engine was built by Eric Gorr to 144cc and ported for more low end but mostly mid to top. This one had pretty decent low end but really flew if you could ride her right. I am considering one for next season. I am on a yz250f right now. Ben at tmmotorcycleseast.com has about 10 left over 125mx models from '03 and it ready to really deal with them. He has one on **** right now and I like the light blue plastics on it. :ride:

Australasian Dirt Bike mag tested one last month against the the WR250F and CRF250X. Both the pro enduro riders in the test said they would choose the TM for racing and the other two for all round use. Handling, suspension and lightweight were the real strong points. Looks like a very nice bike.

Back in 01 or 02, what ever year the ISDE was in Italy, Dirt Bike did an article reciting the findings of an American rider who rode one. Basically, the bike was found to be lacking in the bottom end, but from mid on up, it wailed. Excellent handling, innovative design, top quality parts and great durability made for high ratings. BTW, the rider was a rather too large for a 125, he admits to same. However, he grew to love the bike

Our o3 has more than enough low end. We had Eric do a 144 kit for it and it had too much Low end for Expert offroad racing. We had it retuned closer to stock port timing with the 144 and it is awesome. They are well built and parts are fairly priced.

TM reliability

Don't know about the 125 but my son's TM 85MX has been ultra reliable. A full season and nothing wrong. We did have to repeatedly tighter the rear wheel spokes for some reason. Also, the bike came jetted rich. Once we dropped the pilot and one clip on the needle it really ripped. Bottom end is as good or better than any of the other 85s.

I say go for it. Parts are reasonable too like someone mentioned above. My only complaint??? I can't get manuals (service or parts) in english.
