I have a 01 TM 250MX that I am thinking of putting the Enduro flywheel on it. Is it worth the money? Will I be able to tell a difference? The problem is that it hits too hard coming out of corners in 2nd but lacks the grunt in 3rd. I am thinking the flywheel will slow things down a bit so I can use 2nd gear. Can I fix this with gearing? Any Ideas!! I am using the bike for Hare Scrambles/Enduros.
Thanks

I didn't like the enduro flywheel and removed it from my 250 enduro. I don't think that you will get satisfactory results just by bolting on the FW. Next thing to consider is that you don't get the FW seperately but have to buy a complete set including all the coils. Also you either need the enduro ignition cover or a self-manufactured spacer ring. A lot of money for little results I think.
What final gearing are you using currently?

I am running stock gearing. One thing I forgot to mention was that I installed the thin base gasket. This might have been a mistake. I thought it would give me more bottom but it also increased the hit. Might go back to the thicker base gasket.
Thanks

No add a few base gaskets and you will smooth out the power. I have 3 base gaskets on our gasgas ec250 and it really pulls much easier now.
