While I understand that tools aren't often needed when riding this bike, I bought it used, an 04 KDX 220 and the only thing in the kit was a NGK 8ES which I haven't had a use for. The bag is barely large enough to include much more than a combinations screwdriver, plug socket, 8/10/12 end wrenches, small pliers. I haven't figured out a good way to carry a 26mm box for loosening the rear axle nut, and then you need something to hold the other end when it starts spinning. I am familiar with winding tape around the handlebar and carrying a coil of wire for makeshift repairs, but would appreciate any suggestions you might be able to come up with. So far the only problem I've run into is that the 6mm bolts holding the radiators, and shrouds have a tendency to fall out. I'm going to blue locktite to solve that problem.

SpeedyManiac has a nice list of tools on it. Everyone else has some nice suggestions on how they are carrying them.

There is also an older thread on this same topic-can't remember it for sure. This might be it:

Do a search and page through. There are a lot of different discussions of this you might find helpful. These are only two that I remember off top. Good luck.
