Tools for Wheel Bearings

Do I need the service manual recommended tools to replace the rear wheels bearing on a 2000 KDX200. I will be replacing the bearings in the morning and any input is appreciated.

You don't need the special tool. A long (square-edged) drift punch will do. You have to push the inner spacer tube to one side to get access to the outer bearing race. Tap only on the outer race. If the bearings are not rusted in place from years of neglect, they come out easily enough. You won't be able to reuse them though. Also, there is a snap rung on one side - be sure to remove it before pounding on the bearing. See these additional posts on the subject:

Thanks for the help. I was able to get the bearings out with little effort. New bearings and seals in and ready to ride. Thanks again.
