According to Realtor.com - TOP 5

Stockton, CA??!!! Are they freaking kidding me?! :scream: Hmmm, I don't know, maybe things have changed since the last time I went through there but all I know is I was afraid for my life!!

Interesting that the top 5 are all in California. ;) Although I wouldn't want to live in any of the spots they mentioned. With appreciation rates like that though it sure would be nice to buy property there and rent it out.

Just thought this was interesting.

Sandbar, NY
Stockton?
So far in my search for states to relocate to, we have narrowed it down to SC/NC, and possibly back out west. Where, though, really depends on the work situation.

nc rocks. good economy, we have all from the mountians to the coast (I'm in the barrier islands). moderate weather. good riding. I love this state.

All 5 are at the fringe of 'commutibility' to the Bay Area. Home prices have gone up because people have (or had) taken jobs in the Bay Area only to figure out that there is no way in he11 they could afford a house w/in normal commuting distances. I live and work in Santa Rosa and it is a great place to live except for Hwy 101 congestion. My commute is only 5 miles and I don't even have to get on 101 so it's not a problem.

Of the 5, Santa Rosa is by far the nicest.

Im tired of the Bay Area, i heard the other day on the news that they (city of Fremont officials) may re-name what is now Centerville to Little Kabul..This should not happen in my opinion..
Plus there arent many riding spots within an hour w/all the traffic.. Home prices are ridiculous too..
My $.02 worth..
